When JGVT's field worker learned that a 15-year-old girl was about to be married at the Gadgadiya Shiv Temple, the team immediately swung into action. They confirmed the girl's age through her school records, then notified the Child Welfare Committee (CWC), Dhanbad.
On the orders of the Block Development Officer (Baghmar), the local police arrived and stopped the marriage. The girl's family signed a bond committing not to marry her until she turns 18 โ and to ensure she completes her education.
One intervention. One future saved. This is what JGVT's grassroots presence makes possible every day.
